Chipmunks love sunflower seeds. Put some seeds under the "trip" plate. There's a chance that if you successfully relocate the "guilty" Chipmunk, others will raid the empty burrow of the cache of winter food. After a few days, you can plug the tunnel.

Keep in mind that chipmunks are very high-energy critters, and shouldn't be kept in the trap for even an hour. They can die of stress, so keep the trap covered against light.

I agree - it works for us and then I immediately relocate them a mile or so and so far so good! They will undermine driveways etc if left to reproduce in your yard! Good luck!
