Wolfeborough Diner

Does anyone know what is the story with the Wolfeborough Diner.? It has been closed for the past couple of weeks, and no signs to explain the reason.

It is my understanding that they are closed for the winter.... Pretty sure they did this last year too.

That makes sense. But it is interesting that they didn't bother to put a "see you in the spring" sign up.

The sign in the window to the left of the door says thanks for a great season and see you in April. Saw it this morning. Sign in the door itself just says closed.

Hey Rusty, if you go way back friend of mine asked me what ever happened
to the "Little Diner" which was located where Paul Hatch built his theater.

Was there 2 diners in town at the time. going back to late 40's.
I know Arlene Bean was a waitress or her family owned it?

There is a discussion on Facebook in the wolfeboro group about the diners WHN.

I remember that restaurant and the one right across from where the Irving station is now. Wasn't the one you are talking about Blondie's?? and wasn't the other one White's? Or was that what is now the Wolf. diner?

Her son was Edmund, I believe.. She was such a nice lady. After a couple of Saturdays, she would come over with 4 mugs of coffee and just check to make sure we all wanted our muffins. Nice, nice lady.

Wasn't picking on you, up, just trying to remember. So we have White's by the bridge, The Open Door by Clarke Plaza, and Blondie's where Hatch theatre was. So what was the real name of Blondie's?

My wife and I made our first visit to the Alton Bay Diner which had been for sale for some time. A friend told us it changed hands in November but this is the first chance we had to get over there.

I had the breakfast egg special and my wife had

The food was great and the place is friendly - we plan to go again!

Love this place! (of course it's right down the street). We ate there 3 times last week during our trip up
