I just had a similar problem.. Macy's (Mall of NH) had really good pricing on men's suits. I found a really nice shirt (40% off) at Brooks Brothers (Tanger Outlets) Good luck!

The key to a good suit is the tailoring. No question that George's in Manchester has the best combination of quality, selection, fit and tailoring. They do suits and a few other things, but SUITS. My company used to schedule sales meetings in Manchester so all the guys from Mass. could go to George's. Management would never admit that of course, but that's the way things actually worked.
They do formal wear too. Buy a used tux for the price you pay to rent one. When it's in the closet, you'd be surprised how often you can use it. Change it up with a red cummerbund/bow tie for Christmas parties, green for St Pat's etc. I have a Mickey Mouse one for odd occasions, an alma mater one for reunions. Cheap and people (dare I say the ladies) love it. |

Another thing to think about is your shirt. Most shirts are very boxy and have a lot of sloppy fabric around the waist. If you have lost enough weight, consider an athletic cut shirt to get rid of the extra material at the waist. |

+1 for George's. Price and Quality can't be beat.
