I use boat fenders or similar items to attach the chains, leave them floating in the water. That may not be something you want to do depending on boat traffic in your area.
As for the raft you'll need to drag it far enough up on the beach so that it doesn't float away during the high water days of spring. As an added precaution I would recommend tying the raft to a tree or something else that will keep it there if the water sets the raft adrift. Lastly, if you don't have your name or a phone number on it, put them on there. |
