Uber and Lyft are in the area but not always available. I never stay local when I do rideshare as there's very little going on off season. I drive down to my stomping grounds in Nashua, Salem, Waltham and eventually end up in Boston. I do UberX which is their luxury transport. You can meet a lot of interesting people and make some decent cash.
Driving for UberX means your clientele are usually not college age adults going home after a night of drinking in town. It's usually older adults who tend to be better behaved.
I only do this for fun and extra money so I'm not interested in short rides or young drunks.

Did not know about UberX is it accessible from the same app?
