Yes, and the wake maker, wake board boats are all the inventory boats that are seen, sold, and serviced from the existing Flightcraft, just up Rt-104 from their new location there. So, these type of wake board boats are very directly related to their new business location.
Wake board boats are what the new location is all about and have everything to do with this thread. Without the wake board boats, Flightcraft would not be moving into this new, larger location. The new location is a wake maker, wake board boat retail store. |

You are correct. I am one of those people that does not like wake boarding boats and would never buy one. These boats COME INTO Green's Basin and go around and around for hours. I am curious how many people that own them wake board in front of their own house?

After reading this thread, I am reminded of one thing... Everyone has their own opinion of how to best spend their money. The lake has always been a retreat from the normal day to day life. As with life how that retreating happens changes over time.
For the foreseeable future wake boats, and thus wake Surfing, and wake boarding are hear to stay..Yes it is causing some damage to the shoreline... But is that the worst problem the lake is facing... I don't think so... there are all kinds of issues facing the lake... Geese invasions, motorboats of all types and the polutents they all bring into the lake... Man, and the trash and crap he leaves behind... (ever wonder what happens to that sun screen you put on when you jump into the lake) etc. etc. etc. Put all the pollutants together and we have the issue we are all so scared of, the declining of the water quality of this lake. Fixing the problem that are most annoying to us isn't going to fix the problem.. The problem is the lake is over used. And I am just as guilty of that, just like everyone else that use the lake.... How do we fix the problem? Well it isn't just about wake boats, or cruisers, or GFBL boats.... its about restricting everyone... and no one wants that... so slowly the lake will go down the road... that so many of us fear... It is what makes some of us consider finding some place new... Some place more remote.... But you know what, eventually modern society will catch up with that place too!!!!

We can debate this until the cows come home... Problem is the lake is over used .... like many other great bodies of water, it has and will continue to degrade.... Once it finally stops being the oasis that everyone wants it to be and starts to get less use, it will over time clean itself out and become pristine once again. How long such a cycle will take is anyone guess.... Don't get me wrong, I love the lake.... I don't love how the towns have grown up, and how the lake front scenery has changed from cottages and camps to year around estates... but I love the lake.... All the change has had an impact.... By the time I am ready to retire, the impact is likely to be that it is no longer the type of area I would like to retire in so I will look elsewhere for my retirement... some place that has hopefully been less impacted by the human factor but still allows me to enjoy life the way I like, on a boat.

Lake Umbagog, lolololol guess why not, 30-40 years ago Winnepesaukee wasn't the playground it is today, nice idea but not sure I see Umbagog doing a Lake Winnepesauke in the very near future, if at all. But, the lakes area in and around Rangley Me., now that is still a young version of the Lakes Region in NH. Retirement is calling, beautiful area, much like our Lakes Region without the hoopla. |

We should all be thankful for this "beautiful water in a high place" and be thankful for the "Smile of the Great Spirit". Stop whining and make plans to pass along your great fortune to your great grandchildren.
