Meredith power outage

Nhec says they called to warn of planned outages for Bear, but we and our neighbors got no call. The phone rep says outages from 8:30-2:30 thru Friday in order to clear trees away. What a bummer!
Anybody else irritated by this?

What contact information do they have of yours? Don't blame them for not calling if they don't have accurate info to contact you.

I got a VM both at home and a text on my cell.

I give them credit for being proactive and getting this done.

Power came back on today (Wednesday) at 2:42 PM on East Bear Island. Went off at 8:10 AM. Similar outages scheduled through this Friday. Notice left on our answering machine last week. 🕯

I attributed no blame. Can I not be irritated?

Or are you opposed to folks being irritated in general?

I also got no call text or e-mail about the planned outages. I get all their advertising and a phone call about their conference calls so it was not a matter of bad contact information. They also know my address on bear when I call in an outage from my cell as it is tied to my account. Can live with it as their work is necessary, but was irritated as I had a lot of work to do that involved needing electric as I was beginning the close up process. Got up early this morning to get more work done before no power for 6 hours. We talked to the workers and they said probably no work on Friday due to the busy weekend.

No outage for west side of Bear for Friday. Don't know about the east side. Response to my wife was "not on this side".I am on west side across from Browns.

Praying for a reprieve from power outage today. We have electric baseboard heat, but now we’re talking about a wood stove insert for the fireplace

Now we can continue with closing chores but the myth of the sword of Damocles comes to mind😱

Bear Island power went off at 2:30 this morning , but I saw no lights on Meredith neck so assumed mainland was out, too. A good thing because crews restored power within an hour or so. Had the outage been on the island there would have been a long delay👍
