Arrow Brook at Wentworth...

The culvert suggests a location adjacent to the park by 109E and Sandy Road. A wide, boggy brook empties into Wentworth near there.

BTW:

FLL's Packard ID is correct but check out Chevrolet of the same year.

I'm pretty sure Brightwaters is now the Windrifter on Lake St.

Are you sure that's Huggins? It looks kind of narrow but maybe it's just the angle we are seeing it from.

It looks like it might be a house on Forrest Road.

Question Forest Road...Could Be...

I don't know when Forest Road got electricity, but the Wolfeboro Airpark got it in 1949.

IF that's Forest Road, a large barn is missing, but may have been built since.

The property would be the old Goodwin Farm. An apple orchard formerly extended far down Forest Road. (There are no more apple trees, as most of the orchard has been sold and converted to residential properties).

It wasn't difficult to imagine how Forest Road would get its name from back then. Even thirty years ago, one would drive through a dark green tube cut through a forest of Maples and White Pine. Lake Winnipesaukee wouldn't be revealed until one reached Carry Beach.

Default Old Wolfeboro

Having spent a lifetime traveling Forest Road, I think this house is the big one on he right side of the road going toward the beach.

See how the old hospital looks wider and not so tall and narrow? That's why I think the other picture is not the hospital. What say you McDude?

In the hospital image there appears to be an extension or addition on the right hand side that I don't see in the other photo.

Exactly what I think too. It is now owned by the Shaws but was owned by the Ericsons for many years before that. It was also that area that was hit hard by the hurricane of '38. The Piper Farm, the Folsom farm etc.

Hmm, I do wonder what that tall ladder is for. It's can't be a gangplank of some sort?

www.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brewster_Academy has a small photo or drawing of this building labelled 'Brewster Academy in 1909' plus a second photo of same labelled 'Brewster Academy's Academic Building, where most classes are held.'

Wikipedia says annual tuition is now $62,600/yr and it was free to all ye Wolfeboro and Tuftonboro residents up until 1964. So, at ye olde price of FREE there must be some Brewster alumni, growing up in ye local neighborhood of ye Tuftonboro and ye Wolfeboro ....... on-board this forum, here and present? .... ..... if yes, may we hear from ye!

At ye olde free tuition, that had to be a super steal-of-ye-deal price tag for a Brewster Academy, grades 9-12 high school education, wouldn't ye agree ....... hear ye, hear ye ..... ye olde alumni who attended ye old academy ..... formerly named Wolfeboro and Tuftonboro Academy!

So, here's a great big, all YE together, here ye ....... to that olde pre-1964 Tuftonboro & Wolfeboro ..... freebie Brewster Academy education ..... those were ye good olde Tuftonboro & Wolfeboro days! ...... most assured YE! ...... recalling ye olde days back then, there, at Ye Olde Brewster Academy!

Please do ye best to channel ye character here of Edith Bunker played by actress Jean Stapleton playing ye piano while singing 'Those were THE good olde days!" ....... because those really were YE GOOD OLDE DAYS! ...... a free Brewster Academy education for local students ...... just imagine ye that!
