We're not local full time (split between NH and MA) and have plenty of friends and family who want to use our NH house in our absence. We also do a fair amount of travel for work. Unfortunately, driving up to visit the dump/solid waste facility may be a necessity if we're unable to find service. We could also tell people to haul their trash home with them, but a service or dumpster is much preferred.

Carry in, carry out Sounds like you're way too easy on friends and family. They should not only carry out, they should paint the porch, patch the roof, etc. Barring that, put stuff in an Amazon box and leave it on the front steps.
