I was actually there for that one. Happened during the World Series, and I was at my company's San Bruno office. It took about five seconds for me to realize exactly what was happening. That was an experience. Tremendous damage.

Default West Coast Earthquake

I was there for that one as well. Went back to the hotel, and there was 2-3 feet of water out of the pool.

Has there been any death(s) in New England associated with an earthquake?
