I have a Husqvarna 40v handheld and a Milwaukee 18v handheld. Both certainly do the job well.

Since it is only for one dedicated location all I would need to do is plug it in and do my thing. A cord to me is not an issue (I recognize it would be a problem for some users).

If I have a battery pack I would need to always charge the battery, and eventually likely have to replace it at some point. A gasoline version is much heavier and I don't want to have to pull a cord to try and start it (which may or may not start). Hence a corded version works best in my situation.....
