Many if not all appliances now use a touchscreen ciruit board paeel for all operations. Many times that is the first thing to go.

We are in the process of building a new house and we have been looking at appliances,also. I would try to keep all your appliances from the same company, but if you want, upgrade your stove to a Viking or a Wolf or something like that. Just my opinion.
