Yet another software upgrade gone awry! This keeps happening. We're so worried about foreign nations doing this, but we keep doing it to ourselves. |

Anybody else notice download/upload speeds drastically changed yesterday and today, since the system went backup? Now barely getting 100Mbps? I have the 1Gig plan, as I did with Spectrum. Spectrum was always a bit less than Fidium, although Fidium is symetrical. See my post prior:

Last one.
Rebooting the ONT and the router (unplug, wait a bit and re-plug) seems to be resetting the hardware. 470.1 Mbps download 430.6 Mbps upload now. Don't know if this will continue. I have till Nov. 9th till I have to return Spectrum boxes. This will make my decision on which broadband provider to go with. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=03fE...el=FidiumFiber |

I’m consistently running at 941mbps down 870 to 930 mbps up before and after the outage. Latency consistently at 8-10ms, highest 12ms.
Been pretty happy with Fidium so far. Make sure you are testing the modem not your WiFi/router speed. |

Thanks for the feedback.
Actually, I'm happy with anything close to 500-600 Mbps. I'm using my laptop for the speedtest and the speedtest are OOKLA and Google speedtests. Right now around 7:00 am I'm getting download/upload for Ookla at 423/601; Google at 439/473. Pretty sure the tests are on both the ONT and router. The "settings' on my laptop for "Network & internet, aggregated link speed", shows 866/866 Mbps. My Android Fidium speedtest on the Fidium Attune app shows 1128/1107Mbps. I'm testing wireless, not hardwired. I suspect my speedtest has a lot to do with my older laptop and the 17 devices the systems says I have connected. Most are wireless like my multiple Spypoint cameras in the woods of our property. I do have an ethernet camera on my backdeck, however. The wife and like animal pics sent wireless. I'm not a hunter, however. I haven't hunted since Vietnam... May 1967 to Feb. 1969 |
