Arrow New WV tee-bar lift, going up!

Just yesterday .... www.waterville.com/cams-base ..... Wed, Nov 12, 2025 .... very close to this brand new, square utility shack, this short tee-bar lift line support tower was installed and attached to its concrete base on a snowy day of about 1" snowfall.

Is SO very appropriate to catch a snowy day for installing the first lift line support tower. Maybe a snowy blessing from the weather, above?

Watch this new tee-bar be constructed alongside the overhead cables and towers of their super-duper WV 6-seat chairlift, the 6-pak.

This new tee-bar replaces the old Exhibition Slope, Poma disc lift that was removed, and it goes from just above the main lift station to the bottom of The Chute, next to the main lift line, overhead, and huge towers.

Tee-bars are somewhat challenging to use, and a good ride up the hill.

If only it was an old fashioned rope tow with a 1" brown wet/dry natural fiber rope line to hold tight, powered by an old red Farmall tractor with the line running around a big tractor rim without a tire, up top the hill ........ boo-hoo! ..... like it was 1955.

Rope Tow - Black Mountain, NH ...... www.youtube.com/watch?v=UlNdV0DxlG8 ...... "It's not easy" ...... 6 years ago ...... (YouTube link should work, but it doesn't, something to do with the l and l, am missing something ?) ...... is a great look at ye olde Black Mountain in ye olde Jackson NH. ...... check out the horse in the background. You know WV has a $10-mil 6-pak lift but it ain't got a horse like at Black Mtn!

Waterville Valley has been talking about building a 9000' tramway from town square to somewhere on Green Peak, above and across the Mad River for 50-years. Will it be happening in the next year or two or three? Stay tuned? Maybe, it just may actually happen? Their very expensive new improvements just keep on happening.

Supposedly, a restaurant will be built up top Green Peak, at the top of the new tram with an intermediate loading station and car parking lot on the Tripoli Rd?

Black Mountain has had totally huge upgrades all across the mountain all this off-season. The big big re-construction money has really skied into Black Mtn in 2025.

By designating the Livermore Rd as a multiple use trail, the USFS has created a very fun and popular go-to cross country trail in Waterville Valley, about 2.5-miles length, each way, up and down, starting at the Livermore parking lot, north end of town, that is free to xc ski.

How about that ....... free to xc ski ..... or to walk along the edges ..... but you do need a WMNF parking sticker or pay $5 to day park and the p-lot gets inspected for parking scofflaws on weekends.
