Default Drowning at Pine Island

Meredith Police are reporting that an unidentified man drowned at Pine Island this afternoon.

It is disturbing for me to realize that, although at long range, this death took place in the view of the BearCam. This is not something I ever anticipated when I set up the camera.

This image shows boats searching east of Pine Island.

It's amazing what a camera left on everyday will catch.

The channel cam has caught an accident between a car and a motorcycle during bike week, and was also pointing at the spot where Littlefield parked his boat after that incident a while back.
