Site Maintenance Update
The forum is up and running again after about 36 hours of downtime. What did you do with all your spare time?
The site is now on a different server and the problems we have seen lately should be over. Thanks to everyone for your patience when the old server was acting up. Although the Forum is running I still have to fix many of the other features including PhotoPost. If you have problems with any areas of the site please try again later. Over the next several days all of the site features should return to normal. |

Yay, it's back! :D
I never realized how "dependant" on this site I am until it was not accessible for a while! Photopost is my home page!
Thank you, Don for all the time and hard work you put into this wonderful website. It is truly the best! |

Another Update
I've got almost everything working again and only have a few details remaining. The exception is PhotoPost. The transfer of 4 GB of data that contains all those pictures is going slowly. It was about half through this afternoon when something interrupted the transfer and I had to start again.
As soon as all the pictures are transferred I'll reopen PhotoPost and reconnect it to the Forum. Until the transfer is complete there will be some broken images in Forum messages that link to PhotoPost images, especially McDude's history articles. Those pictures will fill back in as the transfer completes. |

Just the opposite, I consider the huge PhotoPost data folder and the Forum database to be the major (irreplaceable) assets of the site!
Yes to the Rattlesnakecam, no to Belknap Lakes. I just returned the Rattlesnake CAM site to service. I host about 10 sites on my server and I only have a few left to transfer. |

Site Problem
Wow! This site is flying faster than those UFO's spotted in Texas last week. What a difference. Thank you for spending your weekend working on the problem. I'm sure there were other things you would have preferred doing.
Great job! |

Thanks Don,
The Forum is fast now. Of course you can't be left without one complaint SO,,,,,,, When I logged on today I found I had to sign in again and at my age trying to remember my "password" was a real chore Heck, just trying to remember why I got up today was a challenge All kidding aside, the site is running great. Thanks for you efforts to keep us from those "Honey do Lists." ToW |

That's top secret, as they say...
I could tell you; but then I would have to... That would never do... Besides, what would all the speed limit proponents use as a medium to verbosely embellish their position, if that were to happen? Long live the Webmaster!!!

Don,
Having maintained websites, I know the amount of time and effort involved, especially when something like this happens, and I've never managed anything of the scale and size of this site! Well done as always. Thanks for bringing it back before I had to seek therapy for lake withdrawal symptoms. This is the only thing that keeps it going through these dark days of winter! Thanks Don
Don your efforts in getting the site back up and saving all of us $$$ for withdrawal therapy*. I know that everyone here more than appreciates your dedication to your "other" job on the best web site anywhere.
Thanks so much. *I had to take a trip to the lake on Sat since I was suffering web site/lake withdrawal and I just posted 2 photos from that day.

Thanks
Don,
Thanks for the new speed. Fastest thing between NH & FL. Last night & this morning I could not get onto the site. I rebooted the computer and that fixed the problem. I guess somewhere in the computer the old site was stored. Thanks for all the enjoyable hours of keeping in touch with Winnie happenings.
