We are stopping by the lake in a motorhome as part of our honeymoon next week. Can anyone offer us some advice? Any must sees, places to avoid etc.
Thanks. |

Take a nice dinner cruise on the Mount Washington cruise ship. It leaves from several different ports on Lake Winni.

If you can, keep your motorhome at Ellacoya State Park. Drive on the right side of the road
![]() ![]() Finally, stop at a NH liquor store. All my friends from the UK find the prices are half their local price. All go home with the maximum amount they can legally carry. I've even seen Scots bring scotch back to Scotland. |

First, I have a question - how'd you drive that motorhome all the way from the UK?
In all seriousness, I have two suggestions for a nice dinner - Canoe in Center Harbor (on Route 25) or the Lake House Grille at Church Landing in Meredith. My wife and I just celebrated our first anniversary this past weekend at Church Landing and it was terrific. Congratulations. Last edited by JG1222; 08-31-2004 at 09:39 AM. |

We were intending to stay at Wolfeboro Campground and do the Mount Washington boat tip from there.
Can we get the boat trip from somewhere near Ellacoya State Park site? |

If you already have a campground spot reserved, don't bother with Ellacoya. Ellacoya is a campground and beach, but there must be beaches closer to Wolfeboro.

![]() You'll enjoy Wolfeboro as there are many small shops and such. For dinning you might want to try out the 1812 Steakhouse at the Wolfeboro Inn or the new Wolfeboro Grille down by the town docks (recently got rave reviews). Mise En Place seems to have a following as well (http://www.winnipesaukee.com/forums/...ead.php?t=1003). You should check out the Restaurant Info/Review section on this forum. If you decide to go to Ellacoya you can catch the Mount (http://www.cruisenh.com/) at Weirs Beach (anytime) in Laconia or in Alton Bay (on Thursday and Sunday only). Check out the Attractions under "Lakes Links" here http://www.winnipesaukee.com/ Have fun !
