If it was a Ski-Doo manufactured by Bombardier I'd be afraid of live munitions on the lake bottom!

Wink Something fishy here

Reading the last few posts I've got the feeling that something fishy is going on here. Perhaps these guys weren't retrieving an snowmobile (a Yamaha perhaps) that Ventured too close to the edge. Perhaps they were doing something more sinister ...

How many fish were caught on the ice that day ? Were there a surprising few on the hook despite the tip-ups being tripped ? How many fish could a SCUBA diver harvest off of unsuspecting sportsmen while they sat above the ice in their bobhouses ? Was that Senter Cove Guy in the webcam ......

My sources tell me that a person with no experience with snomobiles or any knowledge of the area he was riding had talked his friend into letting him take his sled for a ride. A was doing fine until he realized he was heading for open water in front of the town docks and panicked, he chose to bail out and let the sled go into the drink rather than try to manuver away. After hours trying to hooked the sunken vehicle they finally pulled it up and out onto a trailer and off they went. Hopefully someone learned a valueble lesson in all this.

Glad this has finally been straightened out. This event involved no real danger to people, and is nothing but a fluke.

The ice is plenty safe, just remember not to bring a knife to a gunfight!
