Time out while posting or PM'ing
Can the time out feature be turned off so that a writing that has taken quite some time to assemble doesn't get erased when you are required to log back in.
Is this something that a setting in my PC is doing or is this common for other folks as well? Just happened to me in a long PM and I have lost the message. Very frustrating. |

If you are logged in and checked "Remember Me" you should stay logged in almost indefinitely.
I have seen this problem caused by a corrupt cookie (the cookie keeps you logged in), especially in Firefox. If you close your browser while logged in but are not logged in when you open it again then the cookie is probably the problem. If you delete the cookie and log in again a new cookie will be created. You can remove individual cookies through the security settings on your browser. Each browser varies so just Google "remove cookie firefox" (insert your browser name) for help. |

I never log off. I like not having to sign in every time. Works perfectly for me.

I should have added that if you are running a security program that blocks cookies you won't be able to stay logged in unless you create an exception for the winnipesaukee.com cookie.

If I have a long post for a forum with lots of text and pictures I usually will do it in Word so as not to lose a lot of composition time making the post.
Works for me.
