Among my late father's saved effects are some 30 b&w negatives showing the conversion of the Chateaugay into the Mt. Washington II, a few of the Weirs and Irwins Gardens, and one of an unidentified gentleman who seems to be in a supervisory role.
We don't care to have them printed or otherwise retain them and would be happy to mail them to any interested party. Any suggestions? A technical note: these negatives are cut from what appears to be 90mm film, so they probably can't be printed now except by a specialist. Thanks. |

They will be interested in preserving your negatives. You can contact Pat Tierney at the public library.

I agree with Lake Winnipesaukee Museum. Out of 30 pictures, perhaps there are some duplicates or other mechanism to get some to the Laconia Historical Society.

Thank you! Thank you very much for recognizing the potential historical significance of these photos and passing them on to the appropriate societies!

I would be interested in these, to add to the records and collections we have at the Winnipesaukee Flagship Corp. There are a lot of pictures of the Mount under construction but always open to seeing different views and perspectives.

Thanks for the excellent suggestions above. After phone and email discussions with some of the parties mentioned, I've decided to mail the negs to Pat Tierney at the LHMS. Although they're extremely backlogged in their cataloging and archiving they will provide a secure and accessible home for the images.
