Several participating restaurants, with $30 per person prix fixe 3-course dinners or other specials. Wish we were up there!

What a wonderful idea. Thanks to the Chamber for putting it together. Wish I was up there! Glad to see Trenta participating. Would've been nice if Mise en Place had joined in (maybe they're closed in the Winter?}

Mise en Place is no longer a restaurant
Alas, Mise en Place permanently closed as a restaurant a year or so ago and became strictly a catering operation.
The Trenta menu and the Wolfetrap Fish Market's 20% off lobsters would be my picks. |

Bistro 19 and Garwoods would be my choice!

That was my "go to" place for "fine dining" at the lake. What else compares in the lakes region, anything? O was good but not quite at the same level.

Fine Dining
The Pavilion in Wolfeboro was recently purchased by Chris Viaud. He was a semi-finalist on Top Chef and owns two successful restaurants in Milford, NH. His wife is the pastry chef. The menu looks great. It is high end pricing so for me it will be a special occasion place.

Fine Dining
"Fine dining" is such a subjective phrase. When I think of fine dining I think of exceptional services. Others may think of haute cuisine.
I think this topic has been beaten to death, but in the Lakes Region, the consensus is that there are few if any "fine dining" establishments. This doesn't mean there are not any good or great restaurants, there are. My wife and I have our favorites (O's, Canoe, Ledge Water, Bernini's, Fratello's, T-Bones/Cactus Jack's, and even the Brick Front). However, the true fine dining restaurants are south of the border. |

Given the timing of their opening, covid, and sale, I'm going to guess that the previous owners got hammered and needed to refinance |

No, I don't know if it was just the business or both business and building. I have been following them on Instagram and remembered him from Top Chef. |

The Pavilion.....
My wife and I held our son's wedding rehearsal dinner at the Pavilion when it was operated by the previous owner. The dinner was amazing and everyone in the party raved about it.
Last August we had celebrated our anniversary there when the restaurant was under the new ownership. Although the food was good, it just didn't rise to our expectations, based on our previous experiences, the owner being an award-winning executive chef, and, of course, the prices. I am not sure if we will be going back anytime soon. With the cost of eating out these days, we have become very selective. |
