Default Friday Nov 14, 3:16-pm, Gilford double fatal, 3-car collison

Route 3/11 BYe-pass, Laconia to Gilford ...... http://www.wmur.com/article/gilford-...11525/69446002 ...... not much info on the who, what, why except that two people in different cars are dead from head-on collision involving three cars.

Are the police able to determine if one of the drivers was texting, or sexting, or looking at their phone screen from phone record use? This is conjecture?

Oncoming vehicles crossing the center line and then quickly pulling back is more common today than before texting era, say ten years ago or sometime back ?

Don't forget to say good-bye, when you drive that BYe-pass ......... the bye-bye-bypass .... .... "This is the second fatal accident on the Route 3/11 bypass in 16 months, after drivers from Bristol and Farmington died in a head-on collision on July 13, 2024." Laconia Daily Sun

TWO hands on the wheel, and EYES on the road! ........ ........ www.youtube.com/watch?v=oKzljCf8Ox ..... "Eyes on the Road - Hands on the Wheel" - (Jingle) - Automobile Safety Foundation

http://www.dot.nh.gov/projects-plans...ng-toward-zero ..... New Hampshire July 1, 2024 estimated population of 1,409,032 with 135 driving deaths in 2024 including 33 motorcycle deaths (two passengers).

So, what percentage is 33-motorcycle out of 135-driving deaths in 2024? Answer; about 25%.

This must be incredibly difficult for the surviving families and others, involved.

The little time that I spend on that bypass and Rte 106, I have noticed people driving well beyond the speed limit.
At high speeds, small distractions are deadly.

Can someone tell me where this is? I'm trying to visualize it but am not sure where it is.

https://satellites.pro/Google/Laconi...ire_region.USA ...... Laconia-Gilford Bypass map ...... US Route 3/NH Route 11 combined on same road

This two-way head-on collision between two cars and hitting a third car happened somewhere just before the Gilford Ave exit? The map shows it to be a straight section on the two way road(?).

One end is in between Gilford Walmart and Lily Pond/Axe and Ale Strip mall, and the other end is at Belknap Marketplace, (the old Belknap Mall)

Dry road, broad daylight and young driver would make me suspect texting.
See people texting behind the wheel everywhere I go……more worrisome than drunk driving it seems

So where the crash was is when it goes from 2 lanes to one lane. A lot of times people try to at the last minute pass the car on their Left bringing them into the other lane, which is practically a blind hill. So it may have nothing to do with texting, I don't know.
Also, there are rumors around that a deer ran out. Now, I will say, because of where it is, the first scenario is more likely seeing this has happened MANY times at this same location. But that AM there was also a deer struck on the Bypass and the car had a lot of damage and the deer had to be shot. so, it could be?
We will all just have to wait to hear and not make assumptions.

Question Why Are We Still at 40,000? Texting or Chemicals?

Worrisome also, that two cars/drivers would have the worst kind of collision...head-on!

Could both have been texting?

Drivers across the pond are far more likely to be attentive and appropriate with their reaction-times...:
