By Jove!...
...It worked!
I'll probably never know what I was or wasn't doing. I think I got "messed up" At... http://www.winnipesaukee.com/forums/...=vB_Editor_001 I tried to respond on the first "Work Bar" to As: and Show: Maybe that's where I lost it? Can anyone explain these pull down menu's? Thanks to all those that made my images magically appear. |

Thanks!
I would love to be able to ad more that one thumbnail to a forum post. I think this would let the poster tell a story better.
I also wish that I could up-load multiple images to the gallery at one time. Is this possible? Thanks for all your help. BTW it was Lee's Pond. |

Inserting Photos into Posts
At one time I was able to upload several pictures at once, then it would take you to another page to fill in the details. I just tried to do multiples today, but for some reason cannot do it. Maybe it is a setting that I have set wrong? One at a time works, so I'm good.
____________________________________ ____________________________________ You certainly can add multiple photos to a post and there are several ways of doing so. The following window will pop up when you click the paper clip in the tool bar or scroll down to Manage Attachments: You click Browse and find your photo on your computer. You then click Upload. To add another attachment repeat Browse and Upload. Finish your text, then do a preview to be sure it worked. If it did, click Submit Reply. (JP, you used this attachment method in your post in the Sandwich Fair thread.) Please note: We've been asked by other members to keep attachments to about 640 X 480 pixels. One problem with attachments is they end up at the end of your post. I prefer to insert images from PhotoPost. Last edited by Rattlesnake Gal; 11-16-2009 at 02:12 PM. |

Pictures from PhotoPost
Pictures taken from PhotoPost can be inserted anywhere into a thread and you can have multiples.
The Webmaster recently added an easy to use [Insert] button. Click on [Insert] and this window will pop up: Click on the option you would like to use from this pop up. Click on any photos you wish to use and they will automatically appear in your post. Note: To move them around in a post, copy and cut from [IMG] to [IMG] then paste where you want it to show up. Spaces/Enters between pictures look good. If you do not like the option that you chose, highlight, delete and pick again. Last edited by Rattlesnake Gal; 10-15-2009 at 09:22 AM. |

Other Option for Inserting Pictures
The other option to add pictures from PhotoPost:
Hit Reply to Thread or Start a New Thread. Open a new tab by going up to the left side of your window and click on file. (I add this because not everyone knows it.) The following option will pop up. Click new tab and a new window will open. Go to PhotoPost. You can now navigate between PhotoPost and a thread to which you are posting. Upload your images to PhotoPost. Once your images are uploaded and show up, right click the picture. This window will pop up: Highlight and copy the location and go back to your Reply/New Post description. Click on that is in the tool bar and the following prompt will come up. Paste the location you took from your picture in PhotoPost and click ok. Click on the Preview Post button and your picture should be there. Last edited by Rattlesnake Gal; 10-15-2009 at 09:26 AM. |

For First Time PhotoPoster
For those of you that have never attempted to use PhotoPost:
Got to PhotoPost and click Upload Photos, which is in the upper right of the screen. You will then see this window: Choose the category in which you want your photo to show up. Click the Browse button and select your picture from your computer. Enter a title and fill in the description. (The Webmaster prefers good descriptions for easier searching/viewing.) You can fill in key words if you would like to. If you want to be notified by e-mail when a user posts a reply, click yes. (This can be turned on later if you forget here) Then click Upload/Submit, which can take a minute or two and will bring up your uploaded photo. (You may have to wait for approval from the Webmaster for your picture to appear in the Gallery.) ____________________________________ ____________________________________ Good luck! I hope my lessons are easy enough to follow. I hope that this post will give someone the courage insert a picture or to use our wonderful PhotoPost Gallery. I love pictures! Winnipesaukee.com is fun! Try this....
This may be even simpler...
Go to any photo on photopost....or anywhere else on the internet for that matter and RIGHT CLICK on the photo... CLICK on PROPERTIES In the dialogue box highlight the url of the photo where it says Properties (It'll be a http://www thingy) and COPY now instead of going where you have the red arrow pointing below CLICK on the little icon above that has a mountain, a yellow sky and postage stamp thing It's the insert image button insert the url from your clipboard and THERE YA GO!!

After you click on the little icon that has a mountain, a yellow sky and postage stamp, another window will appear so that you can enter the image URL

I get what RG gets on Firefox and something slightly different than either on IE.
What browser are you both using? |

RG: It's basically the same pop-up. A better question would be, "Does it work when you enter the url?"
...and I have no idea what version of IE I'm using. McD
