As the southeast wind increased today I saw a dock section, approx. 5' x 5', coming up the lake along the MOUNT's Center Harbor-Wolfeborough route. Also have been seeing tree limbs of various sizes... not as many as last year, but still there.
Iceout was a lot tamer this year but this week's sudden rise in the lake level to slightly above-full has probably caused the water to loosen objects that had been sitting on dry land a couple weeks ago. When the wind picks up I see a lot more stuff floating than when it's calm for a couple days. |
