I was stunned to find that the old Flea Market (on the corner of Lily Pond Rd. and Rt 3 - across from the theater on one side and the airport on the other, just down the road from Kitchen Cravings) now housed a Fish Market!!!!
I guess it's been there since March, but this was the first I saw of it - I don't even know the name.... Anyway, HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!!! I banged a U Turn and popped in yesterday as I was in the mood for a haddock dinner. The gentleman whom I presume owns the shop was very friendly and helpful even suggesting how to cook steamers on the grill (no water needed, they steam themselves - cool). He explained that the fish is brought in everyday from local fishers, all fresh, not frozen. Quantities are small so he doesn't' have to waste any at day's end. I was very pleased with the haddock I bought and am likely to return today for more and some of those steamers. I highly recommend you check it out. While the haddock was $2 more per pound than the grocery store - it was fresh rather than frozen and cooked up so tender that I doubt I'll buy from the supermarket again. You get what you pay for and fresh fish is worth it, for sure. |

Glad you found it.
I posted this review a while back. Kim is a super nice guy and his fish is top notch. http://www.winnipesaukee.com/forums/...ead.php?t=7697
