You're just another in a long line of people who come up here to "fix" NH. I could care less what Texas does about seat-belts, I care about this state. What part of local, and state control do you not understand ? NH makes laws for the citizens who live here. Certainly we don't make laws on the faulty logic that just becaue everyone else does it we need to do it too.

This is not really about a seat-belt law for you anyway......it's the joy you get in climbing up on your moral high-horse, and educating the locals on your wisdom. After all, everyone wants to live in a place like "Massachusetts".
Irish Mist, I am from Massachusetts and I have to say ............... I agree with everything you say. You need to round up all your friends and people who think like you and get them out to vote next election.

I believe others here have covered my position pretty well here so I will yield.I also believe most states have signed bills into law because they were bribed to by withholding federal funds if you don't take the feds position.Happens all the time. That doesn't make it the right thing to do.LET'S KEEP MORE GOVERNMENT OUT OF OUR LIVES PEOPLE!!!

Or you could just disagree with Mink without being rude or condescending.

Thanks ITD.......I actually do not loath people from Massachusetts I just get tired of the hectoring from the know-it-all types. Winnigirl......you have a point, and I respect that, and think it's important to keep civil on the forum. I was responding to Mink's condescending posts to me and others with the same medicine he gives out. Sometimes that helps make them aware of what they are doing better than me just pointing it out......

Pretty quiet on the lake today what with the cool and rainy weather. Noticed that all four papers, Citizen, Laconia Daily Sun, Union Leader, and Concord Monitor had front page photos of Gov John Lynch sitting on a 2007 'Screaming Eagle' motorcycle at Meredith Harley Davidson. Calling Bike Week 'wonderfull family entertainment' and not wearing a helmet in the photo, it's safe to say that helmets and seatbelts will remain a choice and not a law as long as he's the Guv.

Last year, they agreed to the week long loan of a Harley in exchange for getting the new rotary done by Bike Week!

For goodness sake ( on the helmet ) he's sitting on a bike in a showroom. If your going to take a shot at the Guv, use something of substance. I've seen your post before and know your capable. And as far as "family entertainment" , why can't the Adams Family have fun too.

Family entertainment?

I wish my family could afford that sorta entertainment! Owning and maintaining a bike isn't cheap - it looks like fun and envy those who are into it. Someday....
