Bald Eagle On Paugus Bay

I spotted this Bald Eagle today at the top of a scrub pine on Paugus Bay. It's always exciting to see them.

He took off before I was ready for him and right into the sun.:(

Majestic Bird of Prey!

Beautiful shots, Airedale! :D It's always exciting to see them, except when your small dog is on the dock when it flies by! Thankfully my pups mostly stick to the woods.

Thank you! I certainly know what you mean about the fear of an attack from up above. When our Cooper (Airedale Terrier) was just a pup we had him in an open top portable exercise pen in our yard and we had a Red-tailed Hawk do a fly-over of the pen, no less than 3 feet off the ground. It was very frightening.
