Internet on Bear Island??
We contacted Consolidated Communications (used to be Fairpoint) to get internet installed on Bear Island. The cottages on both sides of us have it, so I know the cable is on the island. They sent us...

As many of you predicted, we found that getting a permit for a new dock takes forever. Even with a permit, it's impossible to get someone to fix a dock on short notice because of the all the ice...

Ice Out Dock lost
The good news: Ice is out.
The bad news: So is our dock.
The power outage on Bear knocked out our bubbler for 4 weeks at the worst possible time. Result, dock is destroyed.

Carpet replacement
Snap in Carpet provides the snaps. buyer installs. Kind of a pain to install, but the only way to be sure alignment is correct.
