I think it really is all about the towns and...
I think it really is all about the towns and their planning boards and selectmen.
Obviously, they're job is to generate as much income for the towns as possible, so I really appreciate the comments...

19 Mile Bay store
Has anybody heard if and when the 19 mile bay store will be open, either for gas or groceries?
Hunter's IGA in Wolfeboro is changing -- and so far not for the better. We miss our La Brea breads.

Remembering the pond.
What a great little shop it was. And we certainly remember the kids "fishing" in their pond, a treat they looked forward to when we rented at Winona Manor. It's been interesting to see it change...

Still on the Big Lake
I'd suggest Lee's Mills, where you can park and paddle in a few different directions. You'll find it worth the drive to get there.

Has anybody been near 19 Mile Bay? How's the ice -- or lack thereof -- doing? We're starting to get anxious to get back.

Winni Loons?
Read a couple of weeks ago that 20 or so loons from the lake had been "rescued," but 15 had died and 5 were taken to the ocean. Any more information?
