How's the Ice?

Has anybody been near 19 Mile Bay? How's the ice -- or lack thereof -- doing? We're starting to get anxious to get back.

The ice in 19 Mile Bay, as well as the lake in general, is still solid except around the docks and outlet from the stream. It is going to be a while yet before ice out, I'm afraid.

I found the broads to be extremely thin actually, I would not trust much of it to even support a person right now. This was Friday. I would not lull anyone into a false sense of security this time of year... There are many open spots out in the middle, not just near shore. I think another week of above freezing temps and some wind to get it moving and it will start to clear faster than many think.
