Lowe's-Gilford has Rainbird products. Lawn irrigation is a good project for someone who likes to fiddle and diddle with all-plastic plumbing fittings, plus it is totally separate from your domestic water supply, so you can just take it slow & steady and expect to have some challenges along the way. Good water coverage for a lawn makes all the difference between a burnt out lawn and a nice look'n lawn.

Thom Lacey does terrific work, but some of us like to save a buck and just do-it-yourself. What the heck....if the do-it-yourself lawn irrigation project turns out to be a MAJOR BLUNDER, you can always call in a contractor to correct your mess. Something that cannot always be said about doing-it-yourself and the doctor, dentist, or car mechanic!
