I've eaten at Avery's several times and always enjoy the meal. Like you said, it's not "high end", but it's a quick alternative when Patrick's has a long wait. However, we ate there last Thursday and it was lousy. It was not crowded, but we waited forever for service. We had to send the soup back because it was cold, the chicken on the Caesar salad was way overcooked, and the ribs I got were drowning in BBQ sauce. Everyone has an off night, but this was noticably bad
