Default Aerial Fall Photos

Quilt Lady and I took a plane ride over the lake yesterday (10/10/08) and I took some photos showing the fall foliage. My pictures don't compare to flyguy's work, but they give a sense of how beautiful the colors are at this time of year from the air.

I put the photos in a PhotoPost album HERE.

Is a plane ride around the lake something you and Quilt Lady do regularly or was this a special occasion? The pictures were great and we really enjoyed them, what a perfect day for a plane ride over the lake.

Thanks for sharing.

This was the first time we'd ever flown around the lake. We went for a "scenic ride" with Emerson Aviation at the Laconia airport. We were up for about 40 minutes and the view was magnificent. We'll definitely do it again.

Here we are after the trip.

What gorgeous pictures -- and I'll bet the ride was a blast! What kind of camera were you using? The resolution and colors are awesome!

Thank you and QL for a wonderful gift and your generosity in sharing!

Thanks, Waterbaby (and others) for the kind words about the photos. The camera is a Sony A-100 DSLR (digital single lens reflex) with an 18 - 200 mm zoom lens. It's my first digital SLR camera and I'm quite pleased with it.

P.S. Yes, the ride was a blast!

Anyone notice how seen from a distance up in the air, everything looks a lot better than while driving in a car. Yesterday's traffic had it backed up from the Meredith intersection all the way to Canoe in Center Harbor, maybe five miles. Difficult to appreciate the view, when stuck in traffic.

Thanks so much for the camera info, I'm considering upgrading from my point-and-shoot digital, and loved your pics!

I noticed the brilliant color yellow in the shot of GYC (my pontoon)

Its rather hard to miss, even from that height.

Thumbs up Outstanding Pictures!

I love the pictures of West Alton Marina and Smalls cove. I can clearly see my boat with my truck parked right behind it. I was lucky enough to spend Thursday through Monday at the lake and I must say that this past weekend was the best weekend of the year, great weather with little boat traffic.

Thanks for sharing.

Here's a short view from my dock last weekend. Not a great camera, but pretty nevertheless. Unfortunately, at this resolution you can't see how sparkly the water was.

Still "shore is priddy!" (like my New Hampsha accent, in writing?) Thanks for the pic!
