Default Pretty sky pictures from past trips

I'm not a new reader, but am new to posting. I wanted to share some pictures I took on my last few trips up to the lake. (I don't have the good fortune to live there anymore... but I visit as often as I can).

I need to invest in a better camera. But the lake's such a beautiful subject, even my 5 megapixel camera can capture some of it.

Youn see the forum should have it's own Lakes region book published. Like the WMUR books. We could put in Stories, Pictures, things to do's, reviews....Sell and give the money (minus publishing) to a good charity.

Default The Photos Are Great!

The Forum photographers never cease to amaze me with their wonderful photos. I can never get enough of sky photos with their changing hues and cloud formations. Moon shots are especially difficult to capture and the one you have posted is terrific. There is nothing more enjoyable than walking or gliding along on skis in mid winter when the moon is reflecting its light on a snow-covered countryside. Witnessing such beauty leaves one completely in awe with the wonders of this old world. I also enjoy the bird and animal photos immensely, as well. Thanks everyone. Keep ‘em coming.

Here is a great one I took about 8:50 pm on 4th of July, 2010. Anyone care to guess where it was taken?

Default Missing Winni....

Down here on the ocean in Florida and looking at pictures of Winni and missing it terribly. Yes, we have the best of both worlds, but if we had to choose just one place, Winni would be it! I'm looking at that marsh picture and hoping to see a moose. In May I made a bet with my husband that this would be the summer he sees his first moose, but it didn't happen. I think next May we'll head up to Pittsburgh, Moose Alley. Hey, just wondering if Winni has seen a killing frost yet.....

do a google for Moose Tours in NH. You will find a few. take your Husband on one of them. Some guarantee sitings.
Has been cold but no frost yet in Moultonborough as of today. It did snow most of the day Thursday at my house. Didn't even come close to sticking....
