In “English” monoculture of a grass is having a single grass type covering a large area. Like golf courses and lawns of McMansions and “grass nerds.” When you lose monoculture you start to get crab grasses and other weeds and plant species.
I tend to live by what my dad told me 60 yrs ago when I asked why we didn’t put down weed killer. He said, “They’re green aren’t they?” If it grows without fertilizer, it’s good enough for me! Sent from my iPhone using Winnipesaukee Forum mobile app |
