That story may be more common than we want to believe. Even an "inspection" cannot uncover some of the strange systems that have been installed over a long period of time and perhaps multiple owners.
If I recall correctly, under the Clean Water Act of 1972(?) the Winnipesaukee River Basin sewer project from Moultonborough to West Alton picked up shorefront properties and tied them into that sewer system; no more septics. I'm surprised that Blackey Cove wasn't part of that system. |
