Depends on how hard they are driven. Wear increases with the square of speed (in RPM) and internal heat (a function of how much HP is being generated) beats on the valves making them "tulip". Run those engines at 3000 RPM and they'll likely run for 1000 hours without any issues. Run them at WOT, they'll likely need a top end overhaul at 50 hours or less.
