I bet it's the biggest Bayliner on the lake, but there's been plenty of bigger boats. The Scamp was almost 30 feet longer and prowled the lake a long time ago.

Since this thing has skyhook, it can essentially hover in place without an anchor.

So it could go wherever it wants in a No Rafting Zone and just hover there. NRZ laws only apply to anchored boats. I thought mercury gave up on skyhook for safety reasons.

Though both are owned by Brunswick (as is Sea Ray), the Meridians are a far cry from a Bayliner.

Meridian is the current name for what was the large Bayliner yachts. This is not a commentary on the quality of Bayliners or Meridians.

My quick search says 2002 was the last year for Bayliner Yachts and 2003 was the first for Meridian. For ten years they have had different names.

Yup, same factory, same workers, same boats, different brand name. They are built to a higher standard than a typical Bayliner 175 though.

We toured the factory on Merritt Island where the Sea Ray boats were made. I think part of it closed but think they still make some boats there. What an operation it is!

It is a real beauty. There were people working on the flying bridge. Quite a beautiful sight. Cant wait to see it in the water.
