Question on local supermarket pre-made holiday dinners

We tried the Market Basket one a few years ago and have been doing the turkey dinner ever since. Think it's like $54 bucks. Fed 6 adults and 2 children with a lot to spare for leftovers.

We picked Market Basket. Shaws, believe it or not, sells 2 different turkey dinners: one with little more than a turkey for $60 & one with a little more extras than MB, but they want $80 !!! Hannaford had a cut-off date for ordering last week, and were rude on the phone when I called. For pete's sake.......don't yell at a customer because they don't know about your ordering dates

After years of cooking from scratch, the ole lady had the idea of doing Chinese takeout. (I think it might have been inspired by a viewing of Xmans Story and the ravages of the Bumpuses hounds). First year, we just loved the convenience and minimal cleanup. But it was like $100. Figgered we'd give the MB pre-made meal a shot. Half the price, all the tradition.

The dinner was better than I expected. Since it was all pre-cooked it took less than an 1:45 to serve. I added some maple syrup, honey, and spices to the squash, and some nuts & rasins to the stuffing and I was good to go.

Better quality than I thought.......I would do this again
