We've been to The Coach Stop in Londonderry several times (5 or 6 I'd say), and enjoy it very much. I wouldn't say it's worth a long drive or is anything super-special, but we find it to be very good overall.

And the sweetbread comes in the basket with the rolls. It's slices of something similar to a pumpkin bread or a date nut bread. Good, but the rolls are GREAT.

Thanks MJM for your input about the Coach Stop, but I was being facetious about the sweetbreads. I know they meant sweet breads.

TPG, what was it specifically that bothered you about the CS? I know you said one and done, so it must have been a complete disaster?

We do not live too far from the Coach Stop and it has always been a great place to have special dinner or sit at the bar with an app and drink and listen to the live music on Friday or Saturday night. They have totally remodeled the 2nd floor bar area to include a covered outside deck and opened the whole floor so you can see the entertainemnt from any seat. The food is very good and a similar fare to the Homestead. We enjoy it very much.

I don't really remember what we had, but I do remember that my wife said what she got wasn't at all good. There was a wedding or some large party in the upstairs dining room, we were relegated the the downstairs "porch" facing Route 102 and it seemed like we were put on "ignore" by the waitstaff. Food was dropped off, and then at least 30 minutes before our waitperson came by again. The couple across from us got up and left, I assume they paid their tab on their way out. We were actually standing and getting ready to do the same thing when she suddenly appeared and asked if we wanted dessert. "No thank you, just the check, we'll follow you to the register". I commented on their website regarding our experience and didn't get the courtesy of a reply.

I guess they figured they got their guaranteed 18% from the large party and the hell with 4 diners.
