Default Winnipesaukee Bay Gulls

Really, really good bagels. Haven't been there in a few months, but decided to sneak over there this morning...I forgot how good the bagels are there. It was packed (mostly MA plates) so I guess the secret is out.

Center Harbor, just across from EM Heath hardware.

Default yum!

I'm not sure if I love the parmesan or the asiago best, but you are right, they are the best bagels around without a doubt. Not to mention they are really nice, local people.

Thumbs up Just out of the Ovan!!!

All their bagels are great. My wife favors the Parmesan. For me it is a simple PLAIN Bagel, steaming hot right out of the ovan, as is. You have to be there just at the right time.

I agree that they sell the best bagels around. Even our friends from New York like them!

Default I agree

I absolutely love thier bagles, my favorite would be the everything or the cinnamon bagle. Dont just stop at the bagles though. Their wraps are excellent as well, especially if your watching your waistline. I dont think there is anyone out there that could say anything negative about this staple in the lakes region

Thumbs up Good stuff

Excellent bagels from Bay Gulls but eat them (or freeze) the day you buy them. They get hard overnight unlike the less tasty Dunkin Donuts bagels which stay softer (and still less tasty) much longer.

Also try Bay Gulls specialty cream cheeses. Cream cheese with scallion is great. Cream Cheese with green olive is one of my favorites and hard to find in most bagel places. Theirs could use a bit more olive but I would rather have it the way they make it than not have any olive cheese at all. The pre-made Kraft or Philly CC and olive is not even close to the taste of fresh made.

Their coffee is good too.

Default Chicken Salad?

Do they still have the out-of-this-world chicken salad? I used to love that on a bagel. Mmmmm.

You are soooo right about their cream cheese selection! My favorite is the sun-dried tomato!

Default Best Bagels!

I love this place. Bagels are great and service/workers are friendly and quick. My favorite is the everything bagel with veggie cream cheese. That's it, I am going right now.

Default New Owners?

Stopped by this morning and didn't see anyone I recognized. Usually my favorite bay-gull is on the toaster before the door closes

Did it change hands?

Note: I've been watching my waist (probably others are too ), so I haven't been in a few weeks.

I spoke to the girls that were working there before I left. I have known them for years and they told me that they were all leaving to go to work for a cleaning company. They did not provide any further information and I wished them well. If someone knows of the company they went to work for or if they started their own company I would appreciate the information as they were very nice and friendly employees and I hated to see them disappear. i'm sure some other forum members have more information.

Thank you for the inquiry. We bought the bagel shop almost two years ago. We worked with the ladies you mentioned during that two years. They did both leave to work for a cleaning company and we wish them well. They are great ladies. Next time you drive by stop by and say "hi".

We think the changes you've made to the interior are great. I love your new clean look. I also love that the bagels are still the yummiest! Keep up the good work winnibagels!

I love bagels. I have one every morning for breakfast with peanut butter. They are low in fat, high in protein and a good source of carbohydrates. Along with the bagel I have a banana, glass of grape juice with whey protein mixed in it, 7 capsules of creatine, and 2 cups of coffee.
This high protein, moderate carbohydrate meal gets me going in the morning and allows me to pump some pretty heavy iron later on.

I think it also makes me very smart.

What a morning regimen! That makes my measly oatmeal and water for breakfast look pretty pedestrian.

Oatmeal is very good for you. The bagel that I have is made with oatmeal. I buy them at the Bagelry in Durham, NH. It is across from UNH and they have very good bagels. I haven't been able to find a place in the Lakes region that has oatmeal bagels.
I buy them by the dozen and then freeze them.

The BEST bagels around, and the owners are great people too. Do yourself a favor and stop by for breakfast or lunch.

If and when they make oatmeal bagels, I will give them a try.
