Hello. I was wondering who I should contact about reporting a propane company for terminating account with out giving a notice. They refuse to deliver anymore propane since we have less than 5% in our tank at our place of business. If we run out we are going to be forced to shut down. I am wondering if they did anything against the law. Any suggestions would be helpful. Thank You

I would suggest you re-contact the propane company and ask them why, specifically, they won't deliver. Are you on the automatic fill program ? Maybe the current low level means that they have to purge the tank (or something technical like that) before they can make a new delivery. I think the solution to your problem lies within the grasp of the two parties involved.

You should look up the number for your local better business bureau. Since you posted on here, you obviously have access to the web so start there. The phone book should have something too. There are many agencies out there looking out for the interests of the consumer. Good luck.

I have had bad experiences with propane companies at the lake. First, when we needed propane, I contacted the company we use and they said there was no record of us in their system, so now we had to re-sign up for service, after many "we will call you" and "you where supposed to contact us" conversations we finally got filled, over 30 days later.
Then a propane company shows up with a shut off lock. It was not our propane company, but they had our address to shut of due to no payment.

If you're looking for great service, fair pricing, and prompt - very prompt - repair service I suggest you contact Rymes. We've been using their service for nearly five years at our business and home. I can honestly say we're thrilled with them. Their staff is knowledgeable and professional. There delivery is always on time, and their prices are consistently better than all others I've checked with. In late October the monitor heater that heats our business quit working. I went through all the suggestions in the Troubleshooting Guide portion of the owners manual. My husband changed the ignitor and a hose or two. Still no luck getting the unit to operate. I called Rymes at 11:15 AM on a Tuesday. The service technician arrived less than two hours later! He quickly determined that the problem would require the unit to be removed and taken to the shop. He advised me to call the shop in the morning for a status on my repair. I never had to bother calling! The following morning they called me, advised me that the unit was already repaired and ready to be returned! Quick as a whistle we had our heat restored. I cannot give enough praise to Rymes and their entire staff.

I sincerely hope you receive a speedy resolution to your problem! Keep us all informed!

If the tank belongs to the gas company , they aren't making enough to justify tying up a tank at your business and/or sending a truck to fill it up if you're using that little.
If you use that little and own the tank yourself perhaps you could arrange "will call" delivery.

Are there any better companies out there? I bought Propane from Irving this August like I always do once a year. This year they charged me $4.00 per gallon because I didn't use much propane over the year. My neighbor has Johnson and he fills his tank once year also. Johnson charged him $50 fee because he doesn't use much either.
