Stacey Burns Memorial Walk Against Violence Scholarship Fund

Hello all!! Just letting everyone know that there will be the first annual "Stacey Burns Walk Against Violence Scholarship Fund", held on Saturday October 24, overnight to Sunday October 25th , 1pm (registration) , 2pm the walk begins, to 10 am, at the "Nick" recreation field in Wolfeboro NH. This is an overnight event , so bring your tents. The concept for this event is to mock a "relay for life" type event, meaning you pay a registration fee, and either form teams or walk individually and get sponsored for the laps that you walk. The registration fee is $10 . All proceeds from this event will go into a scholarship fund at meredith village savings until the end of each school year. At that time , a kingswood student seeking a career in medicine, will recieve a portion as a scholarship. for more info or to pre register, email Nichole at tngproulx@yahoo.com or call at 603-515-3446.

There will be an article in the granite state news within the next two weeks in regards to the walk to inform more people!! things are getting pretty exciting ! We will be offering early registrations, you may do this by either contacting myself, Nichole , or there will be formal sign ups soon at the Nick. probably mid September . Also...if there are any businesses that would like to set up a tent at the event you may do so, we are requesting a "sponsor fee" of $50 , which of course goes to the Stacey Burns Memorial walk against violence scholarship fund.

just an update guys! the sign up sheets just came back from calico graphics, those guys are amazing!! if anyone would like to pre register you may pick up a form at my shop , everything n' tails grooming in wolfeboro, or again, email me tngproulx@yahoo.com , or call 603-515-3446. governor wentworth school district also recieved the registration forms today, so they will be distributed ethere as well . the registration fee is $10 for participants and $50 for business sponsors. i think this is going to be a great success!!!

Us boardmembers are getting together tomorrow evening at 7 for a meeting, we need to figure out the food and drink issue!! Hi capn!! There is already a scholarship fund in the kids name, it was set up months ago at Meredith Village Savings Bank. Its called "The Burns Children Education Fund" so , enough with the sarcasm. Secondly, no, the first annual walk is grammatically correct. If you need a registration form I will gladly get you one.

helpful. we have organized this event to mock a relay for life type event with the monies raised to go to a scholarship fund to be presented to a kingswood high school senior seeking a career in medicine. our friend stacey was the mother of five in wolfeboro that was murdered on mothers day. we are having this walk to also raise awareness in our community and other communities about violence. we need help with sponsors, food and water!! we also need to let as many people as possible know about the event for a great turn out. if you have any questions please feel free to contact me .

jim cameron of camerons karate is also setting up two booths at the walk. one for information on counciling, the other for the karate studio. he will be performing a demonstration at 3pm with audience participation.

the t-shirts have been ordered, bright pink and lime green of course!! the logo is "the day in the life of stacey burns " poem on the back, and on the front, the "stacey burns memorial walk against violence " is on the center and a white ribbon is on the left chest with "remember we all love each other " written inside the ribbon. the white ribbon represents anti-violence. the water bottles have also been ordered, the front logo being the same and sponsorships are on the back. we are all so excited for this event, and thank you all so much for the amazing support with sponsorships and food donation thus far. we have such an amazing community !!! smiles to you all !!!

hey everyone!! due to the incliment weather the event will take place indoors at the kingswood regional high school. we will be able to set up sleeping areas in the gymnasium, use the kitchen, and use the upstairs and downstairs of the building for walking areas. the event schedule will remain the same just a change of place.
