Having a nice round number for bow numbers isn't always a great thing. Sure it looks cool to have 5000, or 4999, but it can be a pain. I have 9777. If you buy a number kit off the shelf, you typically only get 4 of each number/letter. So for mine I needed 6-7's. Kit came with 4, so I had to be creative to make 2 more 7's. I took a Z, and cut the bottom horizontal line to make a funny looking 7. Had to do that for each side...ugh. Looked crappy. So after one season I sucked it up and dropped $25 on custom numbers that look AWESOME!

That's cool chip! You are a ture Yankee! You love a dollar but love your boat more. As we say....wicked cool!
As for the contest it is not for the lowest bow number, it is for the lowest, hence first, DECAL number. Mine is 013685. Any one lower beats me and is line to be the new "Champion". That is the guy or gal who, in anticipation of 2005 got their registration in before the postman left the porch! And Geez: The five is the number of boats that I register. It's a sickness. I hope that there is no cure! Misty |

Speaking of easy to remember...has anybody else thought of "personalized" boat registrations like auto tags
