	 | Amber Alert for the Lakes Region

As reported on WMUR Channel 9. The lead story was that the person in question "may" be heading to the Lakes Region. If you're out and about this evening, keep an eye out. http://www.wmur.com/news/21565027/detail.html

This is going around Facebook and MySpace tonight too. I went to school in Sanford with this guy and want to believe he's going to do the right thing by turning himself in. I don't believe he would harm his daughter but there's no telling what's going through someone's mind when they do something this drastic. I pray that she is safe and he comes to his senses... |

This was on the News down here in Ma. Last night too..... I have not heard if they have caught up with the guy yet today or not But a quick look at the Amber Alert Page shows they have extended the Amber Alert into Vermont. http://www.ncmec.org/missingkids/servlet/AmberServlet Hopefully this all ends well, and peacefully

Same here. Usually you hear the tones and tune it out. This one certainly caught my attention. It was also posted on some electronic highway signs along I-93 this morning. The signs don't really have enough room to show enough details IMO, but I guess something is better than nothing.

when I pulled into west Alton Marine about 3.00 p.m. today, there was an unmarked cruiser with two cops in it backed up to the door of the big red barn that the marina owns on Rt. 11. so they could watch Rt. 11 and the junction of 11A.

Let me be the first on here to call Mike Grant jr. a HERO !! His split second decision on how to handle this situation resulted in a better ending than you could have hoped for. Mr. grants intelligent and clam resolve is a credit to him and the people that raised him. Just the type of person you don't mind walking around the woods carrying a gun in the month of November | |

I know this link is pretty old and thankfully the young girl has been brought to safety, but I had to comment. On my daily trip 93 South to work there were bright, orange construction signs warning of the Amber Alert, the truck's make and model, etc all the way down to Exit 2. Police cruisers were everywhere, they had stepped it up to top notch. I have to give them kudos and I'm glad to know if (God Forbid) this would happen to a loved one, how prepared and alert our law enforcement system is. |
