Default Belknap Point Motel

We ended up at the Belknap Point Motel. The view from our room was wonderful, Welch Island, the Forties and Mt. Washington.

The innkeeper was warm and personable, the room was clean and comfortable. The bed was better than most I have had in the region. The winning point was the flat screen TV with NESN so we could watch the BU/BC Hockey game in the evening.

I would recommend this motel very much.

We had breakfast at my favorite lunch place, Kitchen Cravings. It was disappointing. Cold home fries and very burnt toast. My companion did not want to complain.

I will still lunch there... the sliders are to die for!

Anyone know if the Lakeview Inn in Wolfeboro is open for lodging? I know it's changed hands. Heading down to Tuftonboro from Montreal and wanted to stay near the homestead. Pine View has a two-night policy and "No Vacancy" sign hanging, so I think that's out (making way for more dining space -- good for them!).

Pardon my hijacking the thread...

Stopped in at the Lakeview Inn Friday, 19 February at about 3:30 PM as we have done many times in the past at this time of the year. (Never needed reservations.)

Place is now FOR SALE and no cars at all in the lot. Big FOR SALE signs plastered on the building, and out in front. NB

Yes, it's for sale, and has been for about a year now.

We stayed there Saturday night.

All I can add is that W'boro sure ain't making it easy for people to remain in business in the area. What a shame.

We stayed at the Wolfeboro Inn in late January for one night.

While we didn't dine there, the rooms were very nice, reasonably priced, and we would stay there again.
