The R-word, rain, has been happening for a few hours here in Waterville Valley...only about three-four inches of wet snow fell today before it changed over to all rain here at about 1700' altitude, in the valley.
But, no worries here in Waterville Valley for all the New Hampshire school teachers & student-family skiers & boarders; the mountain has a groomer cat, with a huge spray can of BIG HAIR GELL that fluffs up all that wet & matted down snow back to real January mid-winter fluffy-snow conditions....gotta head up to the Valley...for a Two-fer Friday...2/$only 67.....on totally groomed out wet snow...conditions are awesome and 44 trails out of 50 are open.....Big Hair Snow.....zoom! All together now...rain rain go away & don't come back till the month of April...April...April...

It looks like this next up comming storm is going to be a wash as well. Looks like I'm gonna be getting the boat ready sooner than I thought.

Do I need to call the plow guy to plow out my driveway?
80 degrees here. I got married on Saturday in Kauai. Now we are going to Oahu and then to the big Island for another week. I had been watching the weather but wasn't sure if I should worry about plowing my driveway quite yet.. The ice melting already is amazing. I have been watching the web cams. Well Have fun.... ![]() |

Congratulations on your recent wedding. I was in Oahu 2/12 - 2/18 and the natives were wearing sweatshirts and complaining about the cool front that came in on 2/16. Imagine! It was only 75 and dry during the day and 69 at night...Brrr! Doesn't sound like you need to call the plow guy in NH. We got around 18 inches of snow Thurs. - Fri. here in northeast NJ. Thank goodness for the Ariens snowblower! Schools were closed for 2 days and we good get another dose on Wed. 3/3. More snow here than in NH?? What is happening?

We had some great snow in the mountains this past week, 3 to 4 feet by some measures. Here in the lowlands, we had 15 inches plus a few more overnight, but most of that has melted today. Reminds me more of Denver type weather than Vermont.
As usual, the big lake is wide open, has been most of the year. |

Hi all,
There was about 6 to 8 inches of very wet snow in Laconia and Gilford over night. It appears to be melting pretty fast...it has been above freezing all day. Jetskier ![]() |

We are in Manchester where much of the city is still dark due to trees and branches knocked down due to the high winds on Thursday night.
How are things in Gilford? Is there a need to bring a generator up there? |

Probably, most likely, not needed & I was driving through Gilford today enroute to Gunstock from Meredith. I didn't see any tree damage or tree crews or anything like that in Gilford or Meredith or Weirs Beach.
