Shibley's at The Pier
After a hike up Lockes Hill (pictures later) in Gilford today we went to Shibley's. We were the 1st diners for the evening and had great seating, of course, overlooking Alton Bay.
It was a great meal. I had the Butternut Squash Ravioli with a squash and apple sauce and delicious Duck. We also had the mussels appitizer. My girl friend had the mussles and the NY Stawberry Cheese cake with a Bailey's and coffee. Our server, was Meredith and she was great, attentive and was always cheerfull. She is going back to Plymouth State for her Masters. Mary, our hostest, a longtime Alton resident, was also great. Mary knew a lot of the people I knew when we had our cottage here in the 60's. We will be returning.

Shibley's
We'll have to try it some time. Glad you had a great experience. Also known it the New Book: A Little Murder as Shipley's. |

We have always loved Shibley's. Food has always been good and we love being right on the lake.
