Eagle Sighting
we saw four Bald Eagles this evening in our cove off the southern end between Bear and Mark, they came from Mark and were circling around our cove, they got close enough and low enough to spook our dogs. I went to get the camera but too late, they had already climbed and headed back towards Mark.
An amazing site to see these four large birds get so close, hopefully we will see them again. Anyone on Mark or Mink see them? |

Sunday through our binoculars we saw one bald eagle on its nest on Round Island. The weekend before we saw two of them there. We are hopeful that there will be eaglets hatched this year. I think it still is nesting season, and it takes about 2 1/2 to 3 months after hatching before the eaglets can fly.

We saw 2 eagles in flight over Melvin Bay this past weekend. They were headed to cross Moultonborouh Neck going west. Sometimes they land on Black Island but not this time.

I saw an eagle hovering over Melvin yesterday and the day before.
