Thanks!... This is open for anyone.. Hope to see you soon as well...

I personally have met some GREAT friends on here just through threads like this one. It is a great way to give people options to meet up with forum members.

We spend so much time conversing it is great to finally put the name with the face.

The power of winni.com!

I agree 100%, if communicating with one or two people PMs are the way to go.

But I believe the intention of posting meeting spots is not to Exclude anyone, but to Include anyone that wants to join in and meet each other.

I understand that some people on this form would rather have a Root Canal than meet a Go Fast Boater in Person..., however we are actually quite a pleasant group of folks..!!!

Just because we may have a difference of opinion on one issue, I would still shake your hand and out on the lake I would do anything I could to help you out in a time of need.

Default No splash

Looks like this weekend is out. I have a broken rear shackle that won't be fixed til next week.

Autoserve in Tilton quoted over $400 to fix. Marino in Concord will do it for $300. What a difference among dealers.

I got a quote from Donovan Springs in Londonderry for $360.

I think I am heading out to find me a pair of this flip flop like APS.....

One always needs a bottle opener when out on the water for a day....

For the Root Beer and Bottled Soda of course, that I pick up at the Country Store..... Sorry no Alcohol on my boat.....

those flip flops are cool. I am deathly afraid that when the soles wear down or if you step on an edge of the boat though you could scratch the gel coat. I don't allow glass in the boat anyway but they would be cool for dock shoes.

I have seen baseball caps (with a Guiness logo) with a bottle opener "built-in" to the visor.

Available at Kohl's

Do a google search on baseball cap bottle openner.... I found several sites... one was even by a manufacturer. However I didn't see one that was blank... But I am sure the Manufacturer could help you, or if you look long enough some retailer will have blank copies.

Unhappy Always something!

Was at the Naz yesterday.... If you didn't see the boat well, thats because it never made it to the water... Finished waxing on Friday. Got the GPS running, new compass installed.... Everything was going perfectly for a weekend of burning as much gas as I could......... Well I start her up on the hose to warm the engine and do an oil change... Then I hear it! A rattle coming from the top of the drive.. Consensus is U joint but not 100% sure... She is off to a HP Drive Pro in Mass today... UGGH it is always something.

Luckily a good friend picked us up in his rebuilt ckmate and we got to spend some time on the water and lunch at the Naz around 2 PM. So sorry if you were there and I wasn't...

Oh, OC, I feel sorry for you. It seems you have had one problem after another with that boat! How discouraging! And you love it so much.

But back on topic, we didn't get out on the lake yesterday, but the day before was just perfect. The broads were like a mirror and the temp was pretty nice too! Thurs. we went out and it was fairly rough. Looking forward to a nice long ride today.

OCD, Sorry to here about the drive man. With some luck the guy in Mass, will have you going next week. We all know the feeling of being extremely ready to be out on the water only to have something go wrong... Mine was the water pump going as I headed away from the dock two years ago fourth of July weekend.

Anyways, on to better topic, it was a wonderful weekend. I saw many boats on the water. Took the normal ride to Center harbor for Breakfast, and had a great conversation with a couple that had just splashed there boat for a day on the big lake. We talked about several things but the one that still stick out is the lack of really good public launching facilities.

After that it was a few small trips in the boat Sat afternoon, and Sunday. Topped off with lunch on the boat in Braun Bay. We floated in the middle of the bay as there wasn't much traffic the boys jumped in the water a couple of times each, and we even played with the little remote controlled boat. (I think the big kid had the most fun with that).... Anyways, summer is here, it is hopefully only going to get better.

Now if I can just get over the fact that for the first time in 20 something years I will not be at the lake for Memorial day.... Of course I am doing something very special and important.... Wedding Bells.... Tonight as I type this I spend my last night as a single man at the lake....

Thanks. I hope so as well.... What time were you there? I didn't get there until about 2pm. I had meant to post that I would be late but was working on the boat. We had a few other items to try but they were "hopefull thinking" greasing the gimbal bearing, lowering the drive in the water etc. but nothing worked... So I am waiting anxiously all day today hoping to hear good news.

Talking Finally Some Luck for OCD!

WOW..........For once things go my way..!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Bad flappers on the inside of my exhaust... Which means NOT A PROBLEM at all!!!! Finally some luck!

Thanks again to my buddy... He towed it 3 hours then 1 hour home and another 2 hours today. But better to be safe then sorry.

Now I just have to figure out how to get the Gibson Clamp on Mufflers off the existing tips so I can replace them.

I had to bang them on with a 2x4 perpendicular to the ends then hit it with a sledgehammer per Gibson's suggestion.

Any thoughts??

Either way nothing wrong with her. I will be out there on Thursday!
